Kiwanis Club of Burbank Celebrates its 94th Installation of Officers!
The Kiwanis Club of Burbank Installs New Officers and Board of Directors
The 94th Annual Installation Dinner was held on October 1st, 2015 at The Castaway Restaurant in Burbank, CA. It was an evening to celebrate the accomplishments of the club during the 2014-2015 term and to renew our commitment to the children of the world for our 2015-2016 term!
Cynthia Faust was Installed as the 2015-2016 Kiwanis Club of Burbank President. This just as she ended her tenure as 2014-2015 Cal-Nev-Ha Division 16 Lt Governor!
2014-2015 Club President Diane Cripe is taking over as Cal-Nev-Ha Division 16 Lt. Governor. This lady is so full of the spirit of service that she was even heard saying she wished she had another year as President of the Club! Diane thanked the 2014-2015 Board of Directors by making a donation to the Eliminate Program in each Director’s name!
As her last official duty as Club President, Diane gave out the Annual awards to deserving Kiwanians!
The first was a Special Award to everyone’s cousin, Harvey Branman, for his continuing efforts as the #1 recruiter in the club, organizing a very successful membership drive and for being the “Town Crier” for the Kiwanis Club of Burbank!
Randy Harken was Awarded the Rookie of the Year Award. Randy took over as the organizer of the club team for the Relay for Life Burbank – he didn’t really know what it would all be about, but he jumped in with both feet and did a fabulous Job! We are moved by the Spirit of Service displayed by so many of our members!
District 7 Trustee Ron Rothacher and 2015-2016 Club President Cynthia Faust were jointly awarded the Kiwanian of the Year Award! They work tirelessly for this club, the district and Kiwanis International and truly deserved to be recognized.
Former Club President Dr. Bruce Lilly was also given special recognition and award for his 25 years of service as Key Club Advisor to our Burbank High School Key Club!
We had quite the night with our Kiwanis Family!
We would like to thank former Club President Gary Kessler for once again serving as MC for the Event! Board Member Gary Peterson led the Invocation, Board Member Luis Centeno led the Pledge of Allegiance, Gala Committee Chairperson and former Club President Marsha Jackson led us in a patriotic song, and Foundation Board member Steve Veres led us in singing Hail Kiwanis!
The new Officers and Board of Directors was installed – This Year’s Motto is “Shine Your Light and Brighten the World”. The Gala Committee Chairperson Marsha Jackson Presented 2015-2016 Club President Cynthia Faust with a check of the money raised at our Annual Gala – It was our best year ever!
